Well it's been an extremely brief spring break. I hardly remember any of it. This might have something to do with the fact that I've been in bed since I got home on Friday. I got stuck with something nasty and have been bed ridden all week. This has been very discouraging especially since I have way too much to do right now. I finally pulled my self out of the house today and was able to run a good six miles in training for my half marathon in April.
I really need to kick my fundraising efforts into gear. Hopefully I can put together a spaghetti dinner soon to help bring a little more press about the ride this summer. As I've mentioned before, this year the FCBA will be hosting two rides. The East coast ride will actually be rolling right through and making a stop in Tappahannock in June. If you would like to meet these adventurous cyclists and fuel their passion and trip, then we will be sure to organize a dinner that everyone is welcome to participate and attend. If you have any interest in doing this please contact Patrick Smith at some point or the other.
For your entertainment I've posted a video that promotes this years ride... watch carefully, you might catch me somewhere in there... getting covered in ice cold water.
